Ministry
After serving for several years in youth ministry in San José, Costa Rica, Jonathan and Whitney are in Denver while Whitney studies at Denver Seminary. They plan to return to Latin America.
Call
While Whitney was living in London, she had the opportunity to travel and see many different cultures. She felt God opening her heart for the nations. She heard about SAMS through her home church, Christ Church Mobile, and wanted to find out more. At first, she didn't think she had any qualifications to be a missionary, except for a willing heart. The pulling from God was strong though, so she applied to SAMS trusting that God would open doors as he desired. After serving as a missionary she can't imagine doing anything else.
She describes her life as "rich and full" as Jesus keeps taking her to new places. Jonathan loved nature and discipling youth. He found cross cultural relationship building to be a challenge in Costa Rica but was excited for the opportunity to combine his love of the out of doors with youth ministry.
Prayer Challenge
For Jonathan and Whitney it is hard to adjust to life in the U.S. again. Pray that they will find community in Denver and that God will show them the next step in their ministries.
