Ministry
Tim and Peti are building up a church planted in 1984 in a working-class community in Santiago, Chile. The church never had committed leadership and experienced very little growth until Tim and Peti's arrival. In addition to developing leadership in the parish, they are helping raise up leaders in the region as well. One particular focus of their ministry is discipling children and young people. Tim and Peti are also working toward community development through offering workshops to help members of the community learn to support themselves financially. In addition, Peti is a gifted musician and helps with music ministry.

Call
Both Tim and Peti grew up in the Church but did not return to the church after their confirmations. It wasn't until they got married in July of 1987 that they returned and some very special folks there literally "loved (them) to the Lord". They committed their lives to Christ as adults and gradually grew in relationship with God. Their desire to know and serve him grew strong, and through a series of short-term mission trips through their church, they sensed that God was calling them to mission work in Latin America. They responded to his call with a "yes" and contacted SAMS! .

Prayer Challenge
Perhaps the biggest challenge that Tim and Peti are facing now is a great need for individuals and churches to come alongside them in their ministry to offer financial and prayer support. Other challenges include various stresses of living and ministering in a large urban environment and working to build up a church with limited material resources.
