Mission Date: June 13- June 24 2004
Location: El Paraiso, Honduras
Project: Construction

Click for Larger Image! As you all know our project is to build steps for a rural church. It is the Church of the Virgin Mary. The first picture is of the church without the steps started. The second is of the worker bees. We had two young Hondurans working with us in addition to the older gentlemen. The last picture is of the church with the digging for the steps finished. We started a about 8:45 and finished about 2:30. It was a lot of hard work under a hot sun. Click for Larger Image!

There is group here from Texas whose mission is to dig wells in the rural areas where they have no water except that which comes from a creek or river. This team also has a priest. Their tradition is to celebrate the Eucharist every evening. We have joined them. The priest and Bob Partlow take turns in celebrating parts of the service.

We are all doing well. Harold still has his little back problem but with light we hope it will clear up. Hope everyone is doing well. I will report again tomorrow evening.

Team Leader
